No Severe Weather Friday, A Different Story Saturday

Just some rogue thunderstorms and scattered showers dotting the radar Friday night, mainly staying confined north of U.S. 20. To get Interactive Radar on our website, click here.

The Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk for severe weather Saturday with high wind gusts and large hail being the main threats.

Here's the timing of the front that will bring the potential for severe weather.  In the morning, it will approach the Mississippi River. Then as we go into the afternoon it will enter the Stateling with storms making their way to the Rockford metro before dinnertime.  By Saturday evening, expect the storms to approach the Chicagoland area. - MT
