First Freeze Coming Soon?

Temperatures are going to be a big focus of the forecast the rest of this week. Highs will be stuck in the 50s and freezing temps could be close behind.

On average, the Stateline sees its first freeze (Lows at or below 32°) during the first week and a half of October. While parts of the Stateline, like southern Wisconsin, have already seen freezing temps this week, Saturday night could be the first chance for northern Illinois to see lows dip below 32°. Lows should continue to stay close to the freezing mark for Sunday night, as well.

If you hate the colder weather, take comfort that we're off to a better start than last year. In 2012, our first freeze was on September 24th. -BA
