Snow to the South, Bitter Cold to the North

Wind Chill Advisories have been hoisted from the Plains to the Upper Midwest as wind chills are expected to fall between -20° and -30° the next couple of nights.  Winter Weather Advisories have been posted from the central Plains all the way to West Virginia.

Snow has been developing along the leading edge of an extremely cold air mass Wednesday.  High pressure to the north will continue to push the storm track, and snow, south of the Stateline.  Accumulating snow will occur from Nebraska, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.  Northern Illinois may experience a few flurries, but skies will remain mostly cloudy through Thursday afternoon.
