Starting Sunday night, temps around the Stateline will fall below zero and stay there until midday Wednesday. Because of the bitter cold coupled with high winds up to 25mph, everyone is under a Wind Chill Warning until noon on Tuesday. We are still expecting life-threatening wind chills to bottom out at near 50 below zero Monday morning. Because of this, most local schools will be closing. Before driving anywhere Monday, make sure you have the following items in your car just in case you get stuck mid-travel. Your vehicle needs to have at least a half tank of gas or the fuel line will freeze and it won't start. Toss in your trunk a heavy blanket, first aid kit, some non-perishable food, a bag of sand or cat litter to be used as traction in case you get stuck in the snow, and of course have a charged mobile phone on you. - MT
