Tale of Two Snowfalls

A lot of people (myself included) are fed up with the snow, but there's one group of people who are pretty excited about this year's active winter... snow sculptors.

Wednesday kicks off the 28th annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition at Sinnissippi Park in Rockford. As you might remember, last year's competition was canceled because of a lack of snow. Not this year! In fact, snowfall for the 2013-2014 season is currently 7" above average.

If you want to check out this year's competition, it runs through Saturday and is FREE to the public. More information can also be found at http://ilsnowsculpting.com/. -BA
