Extremely cold wind chills are in place this morning from Illinois up through Wisconsin. West/Northwest winds 10-20 mph have caused wind chills as of 8am to approach -50 degrees! Temperatures have been falling back as well as the core of the cold air settles into southern Wisconsin. Wind chills this morning will remain right around -45 degrees with wind chills this afternoon between -40 degrees and -45 degrees. Remember, frostbite can happen within a matter of 5 to 10 minutes on exposed skin.
Wind Chill Warnings remain in place through Noon Tuesday.
