Friday Night Ice Update

Icy and flooded roadways are still plaguing the Stateline, so as of 9:30pm, travel is still NOT advised unless it's an emergency.

Here's what we're expected for the rest of the night:

A Freezing Rain Advisory will continue through midnight for northern Illinois and through Saturday morning for southern Wisconsin.

Precision Doppler: 9:30pm
Thankfully, the rain that caused all of Friday's ice is moving out and most of the Stateline is looking dry by 10:00 or 10:30pm.

To add insult to injury, dense fog will move in behind tonight's rainfall. Combine this fog with icy roads and travel will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, in many areas.

A little bit of light snow will be possible Saturday morning on the back end of this system. Otherwise, the weekend looks quiet. But to reiterate... DO NOT TRAVEL TONIGHT UNLESS IT'S AN EMERGENCY. -BA
