The rainfall Tuesday morning didn't amount to much with only 0.01" officially being recorded in Rockford. A little more may have fallen in a few other locations, but by no means was this a soaker.
The past several days have been bone dry following the heavy rainfall that fell earlier this month. And looking ahead the next 7 days also appear to be very dry. High pressure will help suppress moisture to the south. And with very little moisture in the atmosphere cold fronts that move through within the next several days will not be efficient rain producers.
Early next week could bring a few showers back into the Stateline, but it doesn't appear to be until late next week with a larger storm system that we'll see any significant rainfall.
