Strong cold front brings chilly winds Tuesday night

Temperatures will be on quite the roller coaster ride this week with highs rising into the upper 40's and overnight lows falling into the low teens.

Temperatures Monday and Tuesday will warm into the middle, possibly upper, 40's following a strong warm front.  This front will bring a few light showers late Monday and Monday night.  It's even possible that a couple rumbles of thunder could be heard south of Rockford Monday night.

Low pressure passes overhead Tuesday and this will bring a period of low clouds, drizzle and fog Tuesday morning.  A strong cold front passes late Tuesday pushing temperatures from the 40's Tuesday afternoon, down into the low 20's Tuesday night.  Winds will increase from the Northwest following the cold front pushing wind chills down around 10 degrees Wednesday morning.

Another strong warm front arrives Friday with gusty southwest winds.  This will push temperatures into the middle 40's for the start of the weekend.
