All Quiet Now
A strong disturbance rotated southeast across down the Stateline early this evening. It was responsible for the repeating storms producing severe weather with strong winds, large hail, and locally heavy rains causing street flooding in spots today. The showers have come to an end during the evening. Skies are mostly cloudy, and will become partly cloudy overnight. It will be cool with a low in the upper 50's. Skies will become mostly sunny on Sunday as high pressure over Iowa takes complete control of Stateline weather. There will be a brisk fresh northerly breeze, comfortable humidity, and afternoon temperatures around 78 degrees. High pressure will settle into Illinois overnight on Monday night, and with clear skies temperatures will drop into the middle 50's. On Tuesday morning the fair weather system will be over lower Michigan, and our area will continue to have fabulous weather with lots of sun, and comfortable afternoon temperatures in the low 80's. The next front to affect the upper mid west will stretch from northwest Wisconsin across northwest Iowa early Wednesday morning, There will be some moisture flowing northward into the system so a scattering of thunderstorms is possible on Wednesday afternoon, and Wednesday night. The front will be east of the Rockford area by early Thursday followed by high pressure form the plains. It looks like it we will see sunny days and mostly clear nights with seasonally warm temperatures for the end of the week into the weekend.
