Thunderstorms Monday afternoon were a result of a mid-level wave passing through. Now that has passed and the main cold front is currently moving through south-central Wisconsin and northwest Illinois. This front, which can be seen because cumulus clouds are starting to form, will likely come through dry for most because it's coming through this morning. The atmosphere won't have enough time to build up any instability. However, places east of I-39 will hold the best chance on seeing an isolated storm or two later in the day.
Winds will remain gusty at times as they eventually shift to the west/northwest. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s this afternoon and the upper 70s Wednesday under high pressure.
