They say that timing is everything. That holds true for the development of thunderstorms along a cold front as well! We do have a weak cold front about 250 miles to our northwest approaching the area. Ahead of this front, severe storms were reported in portions of Minnesota. However, the storms will weaken overnight (which is typical at this time of year) as they move to the southeast. By the time the front pushes through the Stateline area, a few scattered light showers with (perhaps) some thunder is about all that will be left to these storms. Stronger
storms could develop to our east tomorrow afternoon where this front will push through during the heat of the afternoon. But since the front will move through the Stateline before noon, the storms won't be fully mature at that time and don't pose much of a severe threat to the area.
