Is This Weather Great, or What?
A sprawling area of Canadian high pressure located near Omaha, Nebraska during the supper hour on Wednesday evening was for the delightful weather across the area on Wednesday with lots of sunshine, low humidity, light winds, and comfortable temperatures in the 70's. It will be clear and cool with light winds tonight as the high pressure passes right over the area by daybreak Thursday. The overnight low will be in the middle 50's tonight, and the area has not had temperatures that low in nearly 2 months. Thursday will be mostly sunny as the high slides off to the east, and still comfortable with low humidity along with afternoon temperatures right around 80 degrees. On Friday, a system over the plains will begin to approach the Stateline, so a southerly breeze will develop along with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely Friday night and Saturday morning as the front moves across northern Illinois.
