Recapping A Soggy April

April 2013 was a cool and wet month for Rockford. Here's a look at the official stats.

April finished with just under eight inches of total precipitation. That is about 4.5" above normal, which ranks third among Rockford's wettest Aprils.

While May has started off dry, a few inches of rain will be possible for the western parts of the Stateline starting Thursday and going through the weekend. Rockford could pick up around an inch during that same timeframe.
