Light to moderate snow has begun to move into northeast Iowa from Decorah to just northwest of Dubuque and will continue to track east and slightly south of east through the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon. We're not expecting much snow as the bulk of any accumulations will remain north in Wisconsin, but a quick inch or two could fall near the Wisconsin/Illinois state line. It won't last long, only a few hours and is expected to be out of here around 5pm. Areas south of Highway 20 likely won't see much as the heaviest snow remains north.
After this system passes, another quick moving upper level low will swing through Tuesday morning with high pressure moving in Tuesday afternoon. Attention will then turn towards another system for the end of the week. This next one will have a little more warmth and moisture with it causing temperatures to warm a bit, but also raising the threat for more of a wintry mix Thursday morning. Temperatures at the surface will be key in determining just what type of precipitation will fall Thursday before a switch back over to snow occurs by Friday.
