If there's two words to describe the weather this November, it's 'below average'. Not surprisingly, temps were consistently cooler than normal this month. 20 out of the 30 days, were below where they should be for this time of year.
As for precipitation, we were 0.49" short in the rain barrel. Though we saw 3 days of measurable snowfall, it only added up to 1.0" in Rockford. Because of that, Carroll, part of Whiteside and Ogle counties are experiencing a moderate drought. The rest of the Stateline is experiencing abnormally dry conditions. -MT
