The rain will stay as a light rainfall during the overnight dying down into more of a drizzle early tomorrow morning. However, the rain will pick back up again by the late hours of tomorrow morning, and will stay that way for the rest of the day before clearing out at around 7pm. The bright side is that temperatures will be in the upper 40's to low 50's tomorrow, so even though we have rain, at least it'll be a little warmer.
If you think the low 50's are warm, think again! We've got a big pattern change coming up this weekend, which will allow our temperatures to climb into the upper 50's this weekend, possibly the low 60's by Sunday. The jet stream will begin to take a dip out west by the time we get towards the end of the week.
Once that happens, an area of instability will generate in the plains, and this is going to allow for another low pressure system to develop and move towards our area.
After that low develops, it'll push eastward and pull warm air into the Midwest while doing so. This will gradually warm up our temperatures as we go through the weekend. The only downside is that with the quick temperature change and quick rise in instability, showers and thunderstorms will be easy to develop, and we'll see some showers on Saturday, with some storms looking to move in on Sunday.
The warm weather doesn't last for long though, as a cold front will pass through Sunday to help form the storms. After it moves out, we're back to the colder pattern and temperatures will be staying in the 40's once we move into the work week.
