Rainy Start Wednesday Morning

Most of Tuesday afternoon has been cloudy, but overall mild.  Despite the cloud cover temperatures have warmed into the mid 40's, and will remain in the 40's during the overnight.  Gusty southerly winds will not only keep temperatures mild, but also pull a little more moisture into northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
Outside of a little drizzle and light passing rain showers, most of Tuesday evening will remain quiet - at least for northern Illinois.  Rain showers will increase in intensity late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning with the passage of an area of low pressure and cold front.

It'll be a rainy start Wednesday, with perhaps a passing thunderstorm or two.  Rain showers will last through most of the morning, clearing out by
Noon.  Skies will stay mostly cloudy, but as high pressure moves in from the northwest clouds will gradually begin to clear from west to east.  Temperatures on Wednesday will warm near 50 degrees.

Rainfall totals are expected to be around a quarter of an inch.  Higher amounts are possible if any thunderstorms that may move through.  Wednesday night and Thursday will remain dry with the next chance for rain moving in Friday.
