A Rainy and Cloudy Weekend with Sunshine Around the Corner

A gray start to the weekend as we had some showers move through this morning, with cloudy and drizzle-filled afternoon.  However, now we're dealing with some dense fog across the Stateline.  There's a lot of moisture being pushed into our area, and this brought up our dew points, which is why we're seeing the dense fog.  Unfortunately, this will be lasting through tomorrow morning, so be sure to take it slow on the roads if you plan on going out because it will be difficult to see.

We stay dry during the overnight amidst the fog, but showers will start to move in a little after 8am.  A few heavy rain showers can't be ruled out during tomorrow morning, but by the time we get to around 3pm, we'll start to see some lighter rainfall.  The fog looking to die down around noon tomorrow.

Our chances for severe weather on Sunday are very low.  Thunderstorms will stay south of the Stateline area, and the strong thunderstorms will stay well into Indiana.  At the most, we'll see some heavy rain showers.

Once we hit around 6pm tomorrow evening, most of the Stateline should be dry, with clouds clearing out by the time we get to around 9pm.

We've got a big pattern chance going through the work week.  First, we'll have a high pressure system push some cold air into our area, which will keep us colder through the beginning of the work week.  Some overnight temperatures will dip below freezing.
However, once we get into the middle of the work week, a low pressure system will form out west and track towards our area.  Once it reaches us on Thursday, it'll start pulling lots of warm air into our area, which will bring our temperatures into the 50's to end the work week, possibly the upper 50's.

Along with that, the high pressure system will keep influencing our area, which means that we'll get lots of sunshine to go along with the warmer temperatures!

This will give our houses a break from having to run the heater like they've been for the past several days.
