The severe storms that moved through northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon produced a couple weak tornadoes. The first tornado touched down four miles northwest of Capron in Boone County a little after 2pm, traveling to the northeast into Walworth County before lifting just a little before 2:30pm.
This tornado was rated an EF-0 by the National Weather Service with peak winds of 80 mph. It was on the ground for 14.28 miles and was 50 yards wide. This is the tornado that damaged a barn in northwest McHenry County, on the Illinois side of Weidner Road where sheep were seeking shelter. Unfortunately, a few sheep were lost.

The was the same storm that moved through the Rockford region earlier and produced heavy rainfall. For some, over two inches of rain fell in a short amount of time prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Advisory for portions of Winnebago, Boone, and northern Ogle counties.
Another tornado formed in Walworth County just south of Darien, WI. This one was rated and EF-1 with peak winds of 90 mph. It was on the ground for almost a mile and was also 50 yards wide.
