Same story, different day. With high pressure in place, Friday will be a carbon copy of Thursday.
The
one difference, it does seem conditions are more prime for patchy fog
to develop. Something to keep in mind if you plan to travel this
morning. Otherwise, the rest of the day features sun-filled skies, with
highs peaking close to the 60° mark.
Skies remain clear for the first half of the night, though cloud cover will be on the increase as we approach sunrise. This is in response to our next storm system which is current bringing heavy snow and rain to portions of the plains.
Forecast models lift this storm system into the central plains later today, then into the western Great Lakes by late Saturday. Clouds will thicken up, allowing our next rain chance to materialize.
Scattered showers become a possibility late in the afternoon, with chances lingering into Saturday night and into the early stages of Sunday. Rainfall totals will range from .10" to .25". Temperatures because of the cloud cover and the incoming rain will peak at similar levels to today, in the upper 50s.
