With the past few days keeping the state line in a seasonable fall stretch expect temperatures to remain that way as we head forward through the weekend. Today though, scattered showers look to move through the state line for much of the afternoon and evening hours tonight.
As previously mentioned, temperatures will remain relatively comfortable once the sun begins to rise this morning. But cloud cover through most of today won't allow the sun too much time to heat the surface so expect temperatures in the mid 50's through the afternoon.
With cloud cover will come a stretch of scattered showers that will make their way through the state line this evening. This won't be anywhere near the rainfall we seen last week, but it will give us yet another chance for measurable rainfall!
Currently as of 5:40 a.m. this morning, cloud cover is pushing into the state line with showers remaining to the south. Showers in Missouri though will progress east through the day ahead of a low-pressure system. Some showers may make their way into the state line a little earlier in the afternoon but as of now showers look to move in around 3 p.m. with many of those being very isolated. The best moisture to fuel the storms doesn't arrive till the evening though, combing that with better lift in the atmosphere from the nearby low-pressure system this will aid in more shower development. As of now anywhere from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening remains to be our highest chances for heavier rainfall.Chances though the afternoon will remain more isolated as the previously mentioned moisture will remain low through the afternoon. But as the evening approaches we will begin to see that higher moisture fuel more scattered to possibly widespread showers through the region. Some showers may persist into the morning tomorrow but as of now those chances remain low. By the time the low-pressure system moves away from us tomorrow, we should see some measurable totals throughout the region. Highest rainfall totals will be wherever the most shower coverage occurs so totals may remain spotty through tomorrow.
