Clouds associated with a disturbance dropping south across the western Great Lakes has caused a deck of clouds to develop over southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois tonight. There maybe a little light snow or a few flurries overnight, but no accumulation is expected. Drier air over northern Wisconsin is expected to reach the Stateline during the morning on Tuesday, and with the northwesterly winds continuing, it will be another cold day with high temperatures only expected to reach the upper teens. It will be partly cloudy and cold on Monday night as the ridge of high pressure moves over the area. The high will still be over the area on Wednesday, and temperatures will moderate slightly into the low 20's. A weak Clipper system will pass along the Canadian border on Thursday, and there may be some light snow that may mix with a little freezing drizzle in the afternoon. Flurries will coninue on Friday, and another more significant system may affect the area on Saturday and Saturday night with snow. Blustery colder arctic air will buffet the area with snow showers or flurries on Sunday. We will be back in the deep freeze by Monday.
