Coldest so far this Season
You don't need me to tell you that's it's cold outside! Temperatures the next couple of days will sit well below average all thanks to low pressure in the Northeast and arctic high pressure over the Northern Plains. The low pressure system will take it's time leaving the northeast and actually retrograde back west through Wednesday. This means that any weather system coming in will have a hard time trying to make any progress eastward keeping us in a brisk, arctic northerly flow. Combine that will the several inches of snow we saw this past weekend and that's the perfect receipe for bitter cold temperatures the next couple of days. Highs will struggle to make it out of the teens as overnight lows fall close to zero. Looking out over the the next two weeks and it really doesn't seem like we're going to break this below average pattern. Just think though, meteorological spring is only about 85 days away!
