Stateline Drought Reaching Near Historic Levels

Our recent stretch of dry weather looks to make a run at the record books if we don't see some rain soon. The current forecast shows almost non-existent rain chances through the end of the week (a stray shower is possible on Friday... that's about it). As of today, this month has been the third driest start to June on record in Rockford. Combined with a May that saw an underwhelming amount of rain, many areas across the Stateline are seeing abnormally dry conditions. For the year, we're almost four inches below normal in terms of precipitation.
