Local Storm Report by NWS LOT: 2 NW DE Kalb [De Kalb Co, IL] trained spotter reports TSTM WND GST of E50 MPH at 10:37 AM CDT --
10:45am Update: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Ogle and Lee counties has expired, however the severe thunderstorm warning for DeKalb county continues until 11:30am.  I haven't seen too many reports from these storms as they have moved through.  So far pea to quarter sized hail as well as a 60 mph wind gust near Rochelle, IL.  As of this update storms are quickly moving through DeKalb county and will soon be out of our viewing area.  Thunderstorms extend back through Jo Daviess county, but those are not expected to become severe.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning [wind: 60 MPH, hail: 1.00 IN] for De Kalb, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, La Salle [IL] till 11:30 AM CDT

The strongest of the storm is now moving into central DeKalb county just to the west of DeKalb and Sycamore.  Strong winds, quarter sized hail and frequent lightning will be the main threats.
