Warm Spell Continues into the Weekend

What a difference a year makes. Last year, we had a strong high pressure system that filtered in very cold arctic air into the Stateline region. Temperatures during the first week of January in 2018 didn't even push past the mid-teens.

This year however is a whole different story as old man winter seems to have gone on vacation. Temperatures so far in 2019 have been way above normal and in some cases, by 15 to 20 degrees.

This warm spell will continue into next week starting with tomorrow as we can expect mostly sunny skies with high's in the upper 40's. Some areas might even warm up enough and hit 50 degrees. It will be breezy though across the viewing area with winds coming out of the west at 10 to 15 mph.

Then on Sunday for the Eagles-Bears Wild Card game, clouds will be on the increase Sunday afternoon in the wake of our next rain-maker. Whether you are tailgating or going to the game, expect partly sunny skies and breezy conditions with high's in the low 40's. Should be a comfortable day to enjoy the big game!
