The jet stream pattern the past couple of days has favored repeated storm development across southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. From the rain that has fallen over the weekend to what has fallen Monday and early Tuesday, rainfall totals are pushing 3" to 4" already. Unfortunately, this pattern doesn't look to really begin to break down until late Wednesday when a cold front moves through. Until then, storms that form west of here will move east across the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Additional rainfall amounts of two to maybe even an isolated three inches will be possible through Wednesday night.
