Tuesday afternoon weather update

The weather continues to remain quiet across the Stateline so far early this afternoon but thunderstorms have begun to develop in central Illinois south of Peoria.  For the next couple of hours central Illinois will likely remain the favored region for storms as an old outflow boundary and increasing instability are present.  Storm development further north may occur later this afternoon and into the evening but increasing cloud cover may keep the strongest of storms at bay.
