UPDATED: Tuesday Evening Forecast Update

9:30pm Update: New model runs are suggesting that storms will still develop in Iowa tonight and push east into the Stateline, but the timing has now been pushed back until after midnight.

Severe storms are still possible, with the greatest threats being strong winds and flash flooding. Models are suggesting a few inches of rain will be possible through Wednesday night. The heaviest rain will be possible through Wednesday morning.

Original Post: After a few rounds of heavy rain and storms Tuesday morning, the evening has stayed pretty quiet, but we're not out of the woods when it comes to storm chances just yet.

Precision Doppler just after 7:00pm shows fairly dry skies around the Stateline. A few light showers are west of Green County. Other than that, all we're seeing is some scattered storms moving east out of the Chicagoland area.

Severe T-Storm Watches continue for areas of central Illinois. None of these watches currently include the Stateline.

Over the next couple hours, we'll be monitoring the area where Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin meet for possible storm development. If storms do pop up, they could become severe. The main threats will be strong winds and heavy rain which could produce some flash flooding.

Just a reminder, a Flash Flood Watch continues for the entire Stateline through Wednesday. We'll keep you posted as things continue to develop! -BA
