A dominant ridge of high pressure over the Tennessee River Valley is causing our next weather maker to be rather slow-moving. Low pressure on Sunday is over South Dakota and will continue to slowly push towards the Stateline.
Overnight on Sunday the first wave of rain will move through which will last through the Monday morning commute. After a brief reprieve from the rain Monday afternoon, an additional low pressure system pushes Monday night more storms will fire up and become more widespread into Tuesday. The front will finally pass by the morning hours on Wednesday. Here's a snapshot of late Tuesday night of what the radar might look like according to the most current run of the RPM model:

By the time all is said and done, it looks like an additional inch of rainfall will have fallen around the Stateline. But because it will fall over a 72-hour period, there looks to be minimal flooding issues and will not adversely effect local rivers and creeks.
