Temperatures continue to fall this week; from the 80's on Sunday, 70's Monday, to the 60's today. Temperatures will be cooler but more seasonable this week, but an incoming cold front will bring downright chilly air into the mix by the end of the week. The cold front will pass Thursday bringing with it a chance for rain in the afternoon. Behind the front temperatures fall Friday into the weekend. High temperatures look to top out in the mid 50's on Friday, and will struggle to hit 50° on Saturday. But overnight lows will be very chilly, with areas of frost possible Friday night into Saturday, and then again Saturday night into Sunday. It's hard to think about that frost when we just had an 80 degree day, but it terms of our average first frost, we're right on track. The average first frost (32°) across the Stateline is between October 1st-10th. Looking north through central and northern Wisconsin the first frost arrives the last week of September, while just south of us the frost arrives my mid to late October.
