As we head through the evening we'll see a few isolated showers and thunderstorms through 7pm, after which everything will gradually die down and be gone by 10pm.
We'll stay dry for most of the overnight, but then this warm front will start lifting north and bring in another round of rain in from the south. This will mainly affect the southern portion of the Stateline: Whiteside, Lee, and southern Dekalb counties, but a few pop up showers will still be possible elsewhere. This will last through 7am, Saturday, after which we'll get some more dry time until after noon.
Once we get past noon tomorrow, the warm front and daytime heating will generate a few isolated showers and thunderstorms across the Stateline, and will last through the entire afternoon. The combo of the warm front and daytime heating will also bring our temperatures into the mid 80's tomorrow afternoon, with muggy conditions as well from all the moisture inflow.
The severity of these isolated thunderstorms will be low, but the only thing we'll have to watch for is localized flooding, mainly over the far western portion of the Stateline. Jo Daviess, Carroll, and Whiteside counties have the best chances for seeing localized flooding as more moisture will be pulled into those areas. As for timing, 12-4pm Saturday would be the time frame for seeing the heaviest of rain in these areas.
Once we get into Saturday evening we'll see the showers and thunderstorms become a little more scattered, but then they'll clear up after 10pm, keeping us dry through the overnight Saturday night.
Those drier conditions look to stay with us through most of Sunday. We can't rule out a passing thunderstorm mid-day, but otherwise we're looking to stay fairly dry and sunny for Sunday with temperatures staying in the low 80's.
More thunderstorms to come to start the work week as temperatures climb to the upper 80's. With these hot temperatures, a few strong thunderstorms will be possible.
After Monday, we're looking at a much drier pattern for the rest of the week, with lower humidity and temperatures remaining in the 80's.
