Record Rainfall Saturday

Anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5 inches of rain came down late Friday night and early Saturday.  Officially Rockford received 1.97 inches of rainfall Saturday, breaking the previous daily rainfall record of 1.75 inches set back in 1968.


Rainfall on Sunday added up to 1.52 inches, bringing the two day rainfall total up to 3.49 inches!  For the month of June, Rockford has recorded 3.52 inches of rain, almost 2 inches above normal!

While a few isolated showers can't be ruled out Sunday evening and overnight, the rain will not be as extensive as what it was over the weekend.
