That continuous inflow of hot and humid air will bring temperatures into the mid 90's for Father's Day, with Heat Index values staying at 100° during the afternoon. A few brief pop-up thunderstorms will be possible late afternoon and early evening, but otherwise we're expected to stay dry with partly cloudy skies throughout the day.
Once we get into Sunday evening that warm front to the north will shift into a stationary front while drifting southward towards our area. This will gradually increase our cloud cover going through Monday, but temperatures will still be hot in the low 90's Monday afternoon.
By the time we reach Monday evening, that frontal boundary moves in, and will bring some showers and thunderstorms into the Stateline area. These are not expected to be severe, but the stationary front may keep the storms around for a while.
That front will die off on Tuesday, after which some cooler air will filter in and bring us back down into the 80's. We stay dry for mid week, but then warm, humid weather returns for the end of the week.
