Storm Threat through Monday Morning

4:20 am Update:
Very heavy rain falling over Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park, Pecatonica, & Davis Junction. Radar estimated with morning MCS over 2" in some areas





3:20am Update: Heavier rain crossing into N.IL watch for ponding on roads - severe storm warning continues until 3:45am for Jo Daviess County. Flash Flooding is still possible - take is slow this am!





2:45am Update:

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Jo Daviess County until 3:45am with wind gusts near 60mph and hail up to .75" possible. 







2:20am Update:
Meso precipitation discussion issued on Flash Flooding potential for northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin over next several hours as heavy rain is produced within MCS system. The low level jet continues to focus large amounts of moisture and instability into the area. Local areas of flash flooding will need to be monitored with 2-4" of rain possible through the morning.






2:00am UPDATE: Meso discussion issued for NE Iowa and NW IL with new watch possible. Strong to severe storms possible through the am with MCS system moving southeast. This is occurring ahead of warm air advection and along a veering low level jet.








1:30am Update





Strong thunderstorm over Harvard in McHenry Co. moving east at 30mph with heavy rain and nickel sized hail possible.










Just north of the Stateline, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued just north of Rock County Wisconsin in Dane County with very heavy rain falling.
