A Rare (And Odd) Record To Break...

In case you didn't hear, the month of April was record setting in Rockford, but not for the reasons you typically think of. This past April was cooler than March for the first time ever in Rockford. Or at least since we're been taking observations. The full breakdown is below:

As you can see, April was pretty normal temperature wise. It was March that went above and beyond to break the record. After a slightly below average start to May, it looks like another warmup is coming. It probably won't be a repeat of March, but this rare record shows that anything is possible.
