Wednesday night still looks to be a stormy one around the Stateline. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk for severe weather this evening and overnight.
If storms do turn severe, our main threats will be gusty winds and hail. The possibility of heavy rains could also produce some flash flooding locally, as model runs show close to an inch of rain possible overnight, especially for areas closer to the state line.
The current timing looks like this:
-Showers and storms develop in Iowa this evening and push east.
-The Stateline could see showers and storms as early as 8 or 9 this evening, with the best chance for severe weather closer to midnight.
-A brief period of dry weather is possible closer to daybreak Thursday before we do this all over again tomorrow.
Stay with WTVO/FOX 39 all night long for the latest severe weather updates!
