The Stateline missed out on storms overnight as a lot of the activity remained north along a stationary front. Heavy rain fell across parts of Wisconsin overnight and as those storms move east and weaken they'll produce outflow boundaries (mini cool fronts). As those boundaries move south they'll interact with the moisture rich atmosphere we have which could cause a few pop-up thunderstorms this morning. One storm has already developed south of Madison, but current storm motion is to the northeast.
A cold front moving in later today will keep the storm threat in the forecast this afternoon and evening. The threat remains for strong to severe weather once again today.
