Well...it was a pretty crummy day Wednesday with steady temperatures in the upper 30's, rain, and even some snow, along with gusty northerly winds whipping the rain. Today will stay windy but we will finally be able to dry out, which is good because it's been a soggy spring so far.
Yesterday alone, Rockford recorded .91" of rain, and for the month the total is 1.38" which is about .89" above average. It's also been a soggy start to meteorological Spring, so far we've seen over 4" of rain! That's well over an inch above average.
High pressure will slide overhead Friday and that will finally set the stage for some sunshine! We deserve it, because out of the last 20 days, 16 of those have been cloudy. Of the remaining four, those days were mostly to partly cloudy. Sunshine remains in the forecast through most of Sunday, enjoy!
