Hazy but comfortable end to the weekend

You may have noticed towards the end of Saturday that skies to were a bit hazy. That's because we had another batch of thick wildfire smoke sink down from our neighbors to the north.

That will be present today. In fact, some of the smoke may mix down to the surface, meaning there will be times today where you can smell it.

This will have an impact on air quality, especially for our neighboring states. For that, the Environmental Protection Agency has placed Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan under an Air Quality Alert.

The portion that includes our three southern Wisconsin counties, so Green, Rock, and Walworth County, runs until 12PM Monday. If you are unusually sensitive to particle pollution, consider reducing your activity level or shorten the amount of time you are active outdoors.

Otherwise, today is going to be a great day with partly cloudy skies and afternoon highs in the low 80s. Dew points will end up closer to the 60° mark, meaning the humidity will not be an issue. Tonight will be rather pleasant with overnight lows in the low 60s. High pressure to the Stateline's south will bring a dry start to the work week, though afternoon highs will be a touch warmer. With a more west to southwest wind in place, high temperatures will peak in the upper 80s. Same for Tuesday and Wednesday.
