The upper-level pattern for the early part of this week will be "blocked" which will keep very similar weather for us locally day after day. A shallow ridge of high pressure positioned over the Great Lakes will keep the warm and dry pattern around into the middle of the week.

Moisture from the Western low-pressure system will inch closer to us by Tuesday and Wednesday, but only small amounts of moisture will reach far Northwestern parts of the Stateline. Aside from a few very isolated storms near the Mississippi River, the large majority of the Stateline looks to remain dry through at least Wednesday.

The warmer weather is here to stay as well. Sunday afternoon saw highs reach into the mid and upper 80s across most of the Stateline, and more of the same can be expected over the next few days with the forecast almost a copy and paste each day through Wednesday. A few more clouds will begin to develop by Wednesday, but we will remain dry.

Toward the end of the week, the blocking pattern will finally break down. This will allow for higher chances of rain and a few storms beginning Thursday into Friday. By the weekend, afternoon high temperatures are currently forecast to be in the mid-70s or lower.
