This weekend will feature a return of a summer-like pattern, with multiple days of highs into the 80s. The warmup will be driven by an upper-level ridge, pushing this warmer air mass our direction over the weekend.

Thursday will see the first 80-degree day since August 20th, with the high reaching back to 82°. The warming trend continues into the weekend, with highs pushing the upper 80s by Saturday. Overnight lows also climb, back to the low 60s. This weekend warmup will not come with much humidity, as dew points remain below 60°.

The main chance for rain through much of the weekend is with a weak disturbance passing North of the Stateline Friday night into Saturday morning. This could bring a few spotty showers and an isolated thunderstorm to the area.

Any rainfall that disturbance produces will not be widespread or significant. Several locations in the Stateline will likely not see more than 0.25" of rain through early next week. That may begin to bring a return in drought conditions, especially paired with the heat coming this weekend as well.
