By the time mid-morning rolls around, fog will give way to a mix clouds and sun, allowing temperatures to quickly soar into the mid 80s. Again, warm but with dew point temperatures in the upper 50s, humidity levels won't be an issue. Most of the night will stay dry, though we can expect the chance for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms to increase as we approach sunrise.
This is tied to a weak disturbance that rides the top of the strong ridge aloft, tracking into the Great Lakes by the time we get into midday. With that being said, rain and thunderstorm chances will be best during the morning hours, turning more isolated by the afternoon. Similar to today, afternoon highs will end up in the mid to upper 80s.
Thunderstorm chances remain low and isolated for Sunday. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures will once again end up in the upper 80s. Forecast models show this ridge remaining in place across the Great Lakes, allowing this very summer-like pattern to continue well into next week. Expect highs to remain in the mid to upper 80s not only for Monday, but Tuesday and Wednesday as well.
