Rain chances to remain extremely low ahead of summer's last weekend

September hasn't been all that exciting for those in the rainfall department. In fact, the Stateline has only had two opportunities for measurable rainfall since the 1st, amounting to a whopping .30".

And from the looks of it, rainfall will continue to lack for the remaining days of the work week as a ridge of high pressure remains in control.

Today will be a copy and paste of Tuesday with lots of sun and highs in the upper 80s. Overnight, we can expect dry conditions to persist, leaving us with a few passing clouds and lows in the upper 50s.

Temperatures cool slightly, though stay considerably above average into the weekend. Afternoon highs will end up in the upper 80s Thursday, then drop slightly into the low 80s for Friday and Saturday.

At the same time, this high pressure system will break down, allowing a series of disturbances to slide in from the Upper Great Plains. This will help bring scattered rain chances Saturday and Sunday, with the possibility lingering into next week.
