A very strong line of storms moved through early this morning producing lots of damage across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Because of the very quick movement of the storms wind gusts topping 75 mph were felt downing trees and power lines. Now those storms have moved off on the other side of Lake Michigan leaving filtered sunshine across the Stateline. Storms could fire up again this afternoon, however, the chance does looks small, but not zero. There is no real forcing found across the region and any outflow boundaries left-over from this morning would likely help ignite storm development further south. There is a lot of humidity, though. As a result, the Storm Prediction Center has shifted the slight risk basically along I-88 and points south; including Lee and DeKalb counties. We'll continue to watch for any further development later this afternoon.
