A Severe Weather Watch may be issued later this afternoon as showers continue to move across southern Wisconsin. A boundary sits over northern Illinois and will likely be the focus for storms to form along later this afternoon/evening. The instability continues to increase with temperatures in the upper 80s/low 90s and dew points reaching the lower 70s and our atmospheric cap (or lid) is beginning to weaken. We're already seeing storms form in eastern Iowa and they will likely continue to expand eastward with time as the leading edge of the storms are moving into southern Jo Daviess and northern Carroll counties.
