7:45am Update: Watching a few showers and even a couple of thunderstorms north of Janesville and around Monroe this morning. These will continue to move to the south through 8am.
6:42am Update: A few showers and even thunderstorms formed overnight along the leading edge of the low level jet and humid airmass. I don't expect these to last much longer this morning as they move south across Wisconsin and northern Illinois. As the low level jet begins to weaken we should begin to see the showers fizzle as well.
Skies will remain partly cloudy through this afternoon as highs reach the mid 90s. A Heat Advisory will go into effect for this afternoon and last into the late evening. Heat index values could top close to 105° later today!
