The forecast is still calling for a major warmup as we roll through the rest of the week. In fact an EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH is in effect starting Thursday morning and running through Friday morning for the western half of the Stateline.
While Thursday will see the worst of the heat (Highs will be right around 100 degrees in many spots with a heat index of 105+), we'll stay hot through the weekend and then some. There are few chances for relief from the heat and humidity. A cold front late Thursday could give us a few showers and storms Thursday night into Friday, but it looks like it might be too hot for any rain development. Rain chances remain isolated through the weekend as the front stalls to our south.
