A warm front will sweep across the Stateline overnight. There will be an increase in dew points making for a warm and humid night under mostly clear skies. The low will be in the middle 70's. A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued for the Stateline on Thursday between noon and 8 pm. It will be hot with actual temperatures reaching around 100 degrees, and heat index values in the afternoon and evening between 105 and 110. The record high in Rockford for Thursday is 103 degrees set in 1934. With cool front moving in from the northwest there is a slight chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon to the north and west of Rockford. The front will stall out just to the south of Rockford overnight, and begin to slide back toward the north. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late on Thursday night. It will be warm and humd with lows in the middle 70's again. It will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday. With the front stalled out from Des Moines to Moline to Chanpaign on Saturday, weather conditions will not change much with a continuing chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low pressure will lift northeast from the plains across Iowa on Sunday lifting a warm front to just southwest of Rockford. It will be 90 degrees again with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms.
